Abstract

This study aims to understand the strategies for managing children with temper tantrums through the holding therapy method at TK Riyadul Jannah, Cipongkor District, West Bandung Regency. The research approach uses a qualitative method with a case study design. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that holding therapy is quite effective in helping children manage their emotions during temper tantrums. The process of hugging, carried out with love and calmness, helps the child feel safe, fosters emotional closeness, and reduces the intensity of emotional outbursts. Supporting factors for the success of the therapy include teacher support, active parental involvement, and a conducive school environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited teacher time, lack of parental understanding of the therapy, and the emotional condition of teachers that is not always stable.Based on the results, the holding therapy method can be an effective strategy in managing the emotions of early childhood.
