Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ understanding of the subject Aqidah Akhlaq, particularly the topic of Immoral Behavior (Riya and Nifaq), due to the use of conventional teaching methods. In facing the challenges of learning in the digital era, it is necessary to develop innovative media that can enhance students’ engagement and comprehension. This research aims to analyze the effect of using the Kahoot learning media on the understanding of seventh-grade students at MTs Nurul Falah. The study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach, involving class VII A as the experimental group and class VII B as the control group. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and questionnaires, and analyzed using normality test, linearity test, and simple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 25. The results showed that the use of Kahoot had a significant effect on improving students’ understanding, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, and a higher average post-test score in the experimental class compared to the control class. Kahoot proved effective in creating an interactive, competitive, and enjoyable learning environment, encouraging students to be more active and focused during lessons. This study contributes to strengthening the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning and demonstrates that the integration of digital technology in Aqidah Akhlaq learning can enhance the quality and effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, particularly at MTs Nurul Falah.
